Performance Corner
Tip:  Keep your tires inflated to the pressure specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
    • Recommended tire pressure is normally printed on the vehicle's door placard or sometimes on a sticker inside the glove box.
    • Underinflated tires will wear out quickly at the edges, reduce fuel mileage, and impair vehicle handling.
    • Overinflated tires usually wear too quickly in the center of the tread, can wear out suspension components prematurely, and will affect road handling.
    • We don't fill tires with Nitrogen gas. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's expensive and you can accomplish vitually all of the same objectives simply by checking your vehicle's tire pressure frequently and adjusting it as may be needed.
Tip:  Keep your vehicle well maintained. Common impediments to good fuel economy and performance are worn or incorrect spark plugs, a dirty air filter, or a check-engine light that is on. Repairs of these problems will often pay for themselves in a very short time in fuel costs alone.
